It seems that we have had an incident involving a member that we all felt we knew and trusted where our trust was taken advantage of. This individual used their membership to insult individual forum members and to incessently spam the forum. Once banned, they continued with their childish behavior and signed up to the forum using two other usernames and continued to spam and generally disrupt the forum.

Because of these actions, and to deter any further actions of this type, I have decided to lock down the forum.

What this means is that new members will not be able to post in any forum with the exception of this one until they are individually approved by a moderator.

Unfortunately this will make it more difficult for new members, but I feel that it is a required step to protect the safety and privacy of the forum members.

However, I do not want to make it impossible for new people to join the forum. In this forum, there is a sticky topic that says "NEW MEMBERS POST HERE". All a new member needs to do is post a short introduction telling us who they are and why they would like to be on the forum. I do not feel that this is an extravagant request to make of people.

As for the regular members of the forum. I will say, I am sorry this happened, and I take personal responsibility for the actions of this member. I should have been more viligant in my observations. However, I do ask that we continue on. I am not about to let the actions of a single misguided person ruin this forum, and I sincerely hope that everyone else feels that way as well.

All Regular members should have access to all of their regular forums. If anyone finds that they do not have access, please feel free to respond here or PM myself or one of the mods and we will reinstate your access.

Please continue as usual. In the words of Remington- "We've just been hit, the getting up is up to us." I, for one, refuse to allow this to disrupt things.
