Reincarnation FAQ

Reincarnation for dummies =D difficult questions, simple answers

(Disclaimer: this is just a guide, that means, is to guide, you may not agree with some things and it`s ok and healthy that you don`t. Some questions may find further explanation in regular threads.)

_ What is reincarnation?

It`s a belief (and soon a scientific theory, soon...) that when you die your soul goes to a newly born person. This can take a little or a lot of time.

_Why do we reincarnate?

The most common answer is: to learn

_Why do we want to learn?

To make our souls grow

_Why do we want to make our souls grow?

the more big our souls are, the more we are one with the universe.

_Why do we want to be one with the universe?

I still don`t know, maybe we don`t want, is just something we do, something we have to do. It`s nature. But i don`t know.

_Meh, i don`t believe in reincarnation, everyone seems to have been Cleopatra.

Nah, not really, most people have normal past lives, as well as normal lives, anyways if you remember lots of lives it can be that you were somewhat famous in some of them, and after all, Cleopatra has to reincarnate someday. But still, not everyone claims a Famous past life, the ones who claim one are serious people, and if they are not serious people they don`t stay in the farse for too long.

_I put my birthdate in an internet program and it turned out who i was

Reincarnation is a serious matter for serious people. That program is just a stupid game for kids ,lazy people, or very credulous people. It doesn`t tells the truth, on the contrary, it`s faaaar from the truth. Don `t use it as evidence of anything. Reincarnation is an inner journey, you can`t know things just with your birthday.

_ If i was a bad person, will i reincarnate as an insect?

No, that`s storytelling to freak kids and keep the lambs in their place. Good and bad are just human concepts.

What is Karma?

_Hmmm... well, most people will probably tell you that karma is something like divine justice, that if you behave bad in this life, you will be treated bad in the other. I can tell you : It`s not truth, otherwise look at how many dead nazis are around?. Personal opinion: Karma is storytelling too.

_How can i know if i`m having past life issues?

Have you been always unexplainable obsessed over a country, a time, or a language? Have you had very vivid dreams as a child? dreams when you were not who you are now? have you said or dreamt things that you didn`t know but then you found out they were true? are you an anachronic person in tastes? DO you have unexplainable fears? if most of your answers are yes, then you may be experiencing past life issues.

_How can i find out about my past lives?

Meditation (it doesn `t work for everyone)- paying attention to your dreams and keeping a dream journal- regressions - connecting with your inner self - extreme (auto)psychoanalyzation - automatic writing

_How do i recognize a pl dream?
Pl dreams are often full of emotions, if you wake up shivering, nervous, crying, whatever, it`s because your soul felt it. Another things to take into consideration are: you don`t look like you look now; you are in another time-country; you hear/speak other language and you understand everything.
After a pl dream NEVER FORGET to 1) write it down 2) check every little detail and try to validate it with historical information.

_Why do i remember while other people doesn`t?

Probably because you need to, because it`s important for this life.

_I heard about regression therapy... errr... does it work?

For some people works, for others don`t, although it may be an interesting experience,i think that a pl research tastes better if you do all by yourself.

_Ok, i still wanna go there, what is a regression therapy?

"Lay down, close your eyes, relax your body, relax, relax, relax, now you are in a room with many doors, each door leads you to a past life, you open one door, what do you see? look at your feet, what are you wearing? how is the environment? how is the people? how are you? ok, now we`re going back to the present, feel your body, open your eyes" well, something like that, and with much more details and variants, of course!

_I was a titanic passenger, a psychic told me!

Fuck the psychic. If you haven`t had memories about it then he could be lying. If you have had memories about it then maybe he is just reading your memories. If you have had memories about it and the psychic tells you things you didn`t know, well, who knows, maybe he feels/sees something, but the general advice is "Don`t trust the psychic!" trust only yourself. And also, to make it healthier, doubt yourself a lot too.

_OMG i was Cleopatra!

Are you sure? give it 2 years, read, study, check, validate, compare, try to explore other lives, if you still think you`re Cleopatra after all that, well, share your story with the world if you want (and expect lot of interrogation)

Well, that`s all for now, this may be updated if more questions are merged =)
Alles gute

Since i read in other places sensationalist posts saying "OMG something unbelievable happened to me!" and when you check it is the more normal thing in the reincarnation world. I`ll make a list of very common things, so feel good is something like this happens to you becuase it may be a good pl sign:

_Reincarnation inside the same family: It`s not strange that your past life mother is now your son, neither that you`re your own grand-grandfather. Souls tend to reincarnate in groups, and we tend to be with our loved ones.

_Xenoglossy: If you study a foreign language and you are great at it, and your teachers say that you speak it perfectly, it`s not strange! it happens to a lot of people, specially if it was your inmediate pl language.

Questions more difficult to answer

How do i know if my memories are real or i´m just making them up?

This is a question that might haunt you a lot. What i can say is, the more you validate the more you`ll trust your memories. There are some things that you will probably never be able to validate, but try to validate the more you can, and try to find people from your period, they may have similar/same memories and that`s another validation.

If reincarnation is so obvious and logic ... why isn´t fully accepted like that the world is round?

Probably because of the current scientific paradigm. And remember something, reinarnation is logic, people and masses aren`t, they just go with the wind, and the wind now tells them that they have to doubt reincaration theories and that everyone claims to have been Napoleon, so until the paradigm changes, masses will see it like that.

How do i determine when i have enough validations to believe? and do not tell me you will know when it hapens because i have the feeling that i will be postergating it forever to not believe

Sometimes validations are never enough, i understand you, but i tell you, itr`s true that you will start to believe when you feel comfortable believing in your pl self. It helps to have more confidence in your memories to read wackos posts, they have confidence in themselves, you have more research and validation on you, you should trust yourself more. It `s somewhat discouraging to read sometimes other people`s stories because all of them seem to remember a lot, but i guess is not that they remember that much, but that they know how to write what they remember to make it look good, like a story.

If souls reincarnate in groups... why am I all alone?

Probably you`re not, but the people around you are not the ones from the life you can remember more.

How can i dare to tell my story if most of the world is happy thinking i´m burning in hell? aren´t they´re gonna kill me or torture me if they know i´m fine?

I guess that a time will come when you feel ok posting it.

Good to see you here, Prudence.

Yes, even the most random things I have recalled have been validated...even if I thought it was a long shot at the time. If something seems odd, yet has 'that feel' to it, it is worth recording. You never know if a bit of obscure information is going to fall into your lap to give you the validation you need.

I stole some questions from other places so i can post them here, just the questions though, the answers are allll my responsibility.

How long is the time between lives?

_ From... 1 month to... 50 years, that`s at least the media between the people that remembers, could be more, could be less, actually depends on the person. This doesn`t mean that if you remember a life 2000 years ago and nothing else that`s your last life, could be that you just don `t remember the following lives. (This is just a theory, i myself have some doubts about it, because if we took 8 years then we cannot say that we weren`t living in another plane of existance in that time? although if we reincarnate in the same specie for undefined time, then no, it`s not possible...). Time between lives depends among other factors in 1) what you have to do in this one, if you have to finish something you started you can `t wait too long 2) what people you have to meet and when they chose to reborn.

Do soulmates really exist?

Well, why not? soulmates as "someone that complements us", there can be one, or more, the world is big...

Do twin souls exist?

_That`s entering in the field of parallel lives, if we want to be logic with one line of thought, then no. (actually, considering that this section is for people new to reincarnation, the BEST is to keep just one line of thought, the one kept in other parts of the forum, except the outer limits)

Can i reincarnate as a woman if i`m a man now?

I was almost sure i answered this question before, but if i didn`t... and it seems to be a VERY common question... my dear... IF YOU CAN REINCARNATE AS A TURTLE WHY NOT WITH A DIFFERENT SEX?? (disclaimer: the turtle thing doesn`t mean right before human lives necessarily). There are a lot of cases (if not most) if you want to look up.

I think my kid is having pl memories, but how do i know?

_Same way you find out if your memories are true or you are imaging. Does the child seems nervous or upset while telling you his memories? Do the things he say have logic? Can you validate what he says?

My children are having pl memories, what should i do?

Let`s see:
_Write down everything they say
_When they tell you things encourage them to talk more, but without putting enphasis in anything like "oh yeah? what happened next?"
_Don`t let them realize that you write the things they tell you
_Tell them your dreams everyday and encourage them to tell you theirs, or to keep a dream journal if they can write.
_No pressures
_If they ask you what happens when people die, tell them about reincarnation (don`t tell them if they don`t ask)
_Try to validate the things they say
_Look at their drawings, tell them to explain you their drawings
_Never show disbelief! tell other members of the family to not show disbelief
_ Should you take them to regression therapy? well, strange in me, but this time i recommend to not take them except they have HUGE pl problems that are affecting his current life... they may remember not pleasant things otherwise, why bring them back? let them enjoy their childhood, they`ll have time to mess their head when they`re teens.

What`s the point of reincarnation if most people can`t remember their past lives?

Geeez, i thought that with all the previous reading you could already figure out this. What you learnt, you don`t forget, even if you don`t remember it... you do. Yeah ,i know, my explanation is a C*** . ok, let`s put it with an example: all your life you could play football very very well, since the first time you played it. In your past life you were a football player, do you remember? no, do you remember how to play football? yes.
So well, basically this, and unite it to the first questions about the universe in the beginning of the thread.

That reminds me of my facination with Germany, I've always loved its culture and language as well as being interested in its history, but I've never been there.

Articles I

Postby Revolucion_bohemia on Sun Aug 17, 2008 8:41 pm

Article I : Why everybody remembers lives from the same time periods?

We read a lot about claims of live from anciet Egypt, Rome, Greece, WWII and sometimes the middle ages. Why? Why do we barely read about lives in Spain? or in the Middle East, or in souther Africa, or precolumbian SouthAmerica? A reincarnation denier may say something like "Most people remember lives in those places because they are the places the media focus in more, you just think you lived in those places for what you`ve seen in tv or read in books". I say WRONG! because those people, after practice and time might remember a life somewhere else. And that "practice and time" is the key to the question.
We probably weren`t humans since the beginning of time, why most people doesn`t remember lives as animals or other species or in other planets? because our mind configuration is totally different and with our current understanding and vision of life we can`t comprehed how we experienced things back then, so most of us don`t remember. Triggers are always helpful to recover memories, to start, we`re not animals this time* so we don`t recreate the body configuration we had in those animal lives, but we recreate and re-live in a human body, so we have something in common with our human past lives. The place of the world we are now might also be a trigger, because of cultures similarities with the past, if we are in the western or eastern world. So even the ones who have spontaneous memories since childhood, they might have a subtle trigger. And if you add to culture the media, and history in school, and such, you get why most people will find easier to remember lives in famous history periods.
There are people however that remember lives that we don`t hear about often, they`re gifted, most people need triggers.

Beppo

I wonder also if there is a link between spirit and genetics...
But I feel a big part of the issue is the question of the acceptability of the reeincarnation concept. In some cultures today (notably the middle east etc) reeincarnation seems to be generlaly frowned upon and I am pretty sure it is considered contrary to Islam. So, there probably are people in such countries who *do* have reeincarnation related experiences but cannot come out with them. Then again, I think even some western states have a general concensus that reeincarnation is folly. I think also that no matte what, it takes some guts to come out and state what you think, especially as it has so little general support.
